Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita was elected to his first public office in 2002. He was sworn in January 1, 2003 as the youngest Secretary of State in the country at the time.  Secretary Rokita is now serving his second consecutive four-year term in office.  more info »

About the Securities Division

The Secretary of State's office oversees Indiana's securities industry as well as the activities of mortgage brokers, collection agencies, franchisors and continuing care retirement centers. It is the state agency responsible for effective investor protection and efficient capital formation in the State of Indiana.

The Secretary of State's office seeks to protect Hoosier investors and consumers by bringing enforcement actions against companies and individuals accused of selling securities and other financial services in violation of Indiana's securities, franchise and loan broker statutes and by educating Hoosiers about prudent investing.
