ISP Versailles July Stats

Today Lt. Marty McKinney, Commander of the Indiana State Police Versailles District, released the following activity for criminal and traffic enforcement efforts by Versailles District troopers for the month of July.  Versailles District includes Dearborn, Decatur, Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley, and Switzerland Counties in southeastern Indiana.

Schools are open again so motorists should be cautious during their morning and afternoon commutes.  Be aware of children near the roadways as they wait for their school buses.  Remember, when a school bus is loading and unloading passengers and is displaying flashing red lights and the stop arm is extended, traffic in both directions must come to a stop.  This includes traffic traveling the opposite direction on multi-lane highways unless there is a physical barrier, median, or unimproved divider not meant for vehicular traffic dividing the directional lanes.
