INDIANAPOLIS - The AAA branch in Lawrenceburg has become the seventh AAA location in the state to offer select Bureau of Motor Vehicle services through a renewed partnership with the Indiana BMV.

Ron Stiver, Commissioner of the BMV, welcomed the new service location in Lawrenceburg for BMV customers in southeast Indiana. "Since Governor Daniels launched the BMV Customer Choices program, 290 partnerships have been formed that enable Hoosiers to access BMV services outside of the traditional license branch. Through our new partnership with the Lawrenceburg AAA, we're pleased that our southeastern Indiana customers will have yet one more alternative when it comes to completing BMV title or registration transactions."

"AAA has partnered with BMVs across the country to offer similar programs. We are happy to continue the tradition for southeast Indiana motorists."

The Lawrenceburg AAA office at 1053 West Eads Parkway offers full vehicle titling and registration services during normal business hours. Driver's license and identification card transactions (new or renewal) are not available at AAA locations.

As part of the BMV Customer Choices program, the Lawrenceburg AAA office joins over 290 new places to conduct BMV business. There are 276 auto dealerships, including four in southeast Indiana, five Old National Bank branches, and seven AAA offices as well as the BMV2You mobile branch that has traveled throughout the state. In addition, the enhanced BMV Web site and the new myBMV portal have made every computer a virtual license branch.

Stiver noted that the Customer Choices program along with improved visit times and in-branch customer service have resulted in a 97% customer satisfaction rating for the BMV.
