INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) mobile license branch, BMV2You, will provide a range of BMV services to fair visitors throughout the duration of the 2008 Indiana State Fair. The unit will be located in center aisle of the Toyota Exposition Hall.

In addition to the BMV2You mobile unit, the BMV will also have two laptop computers in the Exposition Hall for visitors to renew their registration online and create a myBMV.IN.gov personal account, gaining instant access to expanded online services. Ron Stiver, BMV Commissioner, added, "Fairgoers will be able to join the 985,000 other BMV customers who have already renewed their vehicle registrations online, and as a result of the $5 discount, collectively saved nearly $5 million."

BMV2You, initially launched at the 2007 Indiana State Fair, has since visited 37 communities in 33 counties. Locations have ranged from county fairs and community festivals to retirement centers and small community town squares. Most recently the unit was an integral part of Governor Daniels' disaster relief effort when it was taken to Moscow, Columbus, and Martinsville to assist Hoosiers who had lost driver's licenses, titles, and registrations in severe flooding and storms.

BMV services available at the mobile branch include driver license renewals, issuance of identification cards, vehicle registration renewals,and title transactions. New driver license issuances and CDL's will not be available due to driver test requirements.

BMV2You joins other secure and convenient ways to do business with the BMV without visiting a license branch, including online at www.mybmv.IN.gov, at select auto dealerships, three AAA Hoosier Motor Club offices, five Old National Bank branches or at a rapid renewal Self-Service Terminals located at the busiest license branches throughout the state.
