Vacation Leave Twelve (12) days per year. Bonus days after 5, 10, and 20 years of   service.


Sick Leave Nine (9) days per year.


Personal Leave Three (3) days per year.


Holidays Twelve (12) days per year; 14 days in an election year.


Other Paid Leave Personal Leave, Jury Duty Leave, Military Leave, Funeral Leave.


Family Leave Up to 12 weeks of leave per year for illness, family care, adoption or childbirth.


Health Insurance The state pays 80-95% of the cost of your participation in the Traditional health plan. Several other health insurance options are available including various health maintenance organizations.


Dental Insurance The state pays 100% of the premium cost for this plan.


Vision Care The state funds the premium enabling all employees to participate in this plan.


Life Insurance Group term insurance is available to pay a one (1) time benefit of up to 150% of your annual salary. Supplemental plans are avail-able as well as dependent life coverage.


Public Employees’ Retirement Fund The state pays 100% of the cost. Individual accounts are maintained for Retirement Fund each employee. Investment options are available.


Deferred Compensation Investment options which allow salary deferment for tax purpose.


Parking Free parking available at state parking facilities.


Payroll Deductions  Automatic deductions are available including direct deposit of  payroll checks.


Short/Long Term The state pays 76% of the cost for your participation in the basic


Disability Benefits disability plan.
