Nutrition & Physical Activity Home > Program Areas > CDC Continuing Education Program CDC Continuing Education Program

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers training through monthly conferences. The program is designed for public health professionals who are involved in planning and management of nutrition and physical activity programs. Topics cover legislative issues, research findings, funding opportunities, program planning, and the best practice models. Participated Registered Dietitians receive one hour of continuing education (CPE). Certification of Completion and CPE application are available after each conference.

The program is administered through the Community Nutrition/Obesity Prevention Division (CNOP) at the Indiana State Department of Health. Since one state has one access to the conference call, the monthly conference call is housed in ISDH at 2. North Meridian Street. Please email bwoodford@isdh.in.gov if you would like to receive meeting announcement, agenda, and related materials. RSVP is necessary to reserve a seat.

Monthly conference information is available to you!
Intereseted parties can directly access each months CDC DNPA Continuing Education slides by clicking here http://www.astphnd.org/resources_search_results.php3. Here you will find each months topic announcement as well as accompanying handouts and/or slides.

CNOP will continue hosting this monthly event and will email all participating parties about that months listening location.
