  • Events may take place Monday through Thursday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Special requests for weekend events will be taken into consideration.
  • We prefer that events be limited to one and a half hours unless otherwise approved.
  • Not-for-profit groups, for-profit groups, and charitable organizations will be charged a fee to hold an event at the residence. For events with 100 attendees or less the fee is $500, and for events of 100 attendees or more the fee is $ 1,000.
  • Groups planning to have food and/or beverages at an event inside the residence or on the grounds MUST USE A LICESENCED CATERER and must be pre-approved by the Residence Director. A list of preferred caterers is available upon request.
  • If you submit a request please know that your request will be reviewed by the First Lady's staff. However, due to the high volume of requests all may not be honored.

Residence Facilities

Our facilities include:

  • A full caterer's kitchen with separate entrance
  • Bathrooms for guests and catering staff
  • State china, crystal, flatware, and napkins
  • Speaking podium
  • Large event room dimension 24'8'' X 32'4'' total 815 square feet.
  • Coat check
  • Large media screen (YOU will need to provide a lap top computer and projector).

Our facilities can accommodate 100 people. Events with 100 or more attendees will be required to use our outdoor facilities and must provide a tent, tables, chairs, flatware, glasses, and plates. The Governor's Residence has accommodations for:

  • A formal Sit down dinner 30 persons
  • A sit down meeting 30 persons
  • An indoor reception 100 persons
  • An outdoor reception 500 persons

Also, smoking is NOT permitted on the grounds and any amplification for music or speeches should be pre-approved by the Residence Director.
