140 License Branches to Collect Items for Hoosier Flood and Tornado Victims - June 2008

Beginning June 16, 2008, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) will join the Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and numerous other public and private sector organizations to help Hoosier flood and tornado victims. Hoosiers are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, diapers and other items at BMV license branches across the state. These items will be distributed by local relief agencies to the victims impacted by severe weather events in many parts of Indiana.

BMV Announces Effort To Modernize Handling Of Insurance Forms - May 2008

The Electronic Insurance Forms Submission Program (EIFS) is a Web-based tool that allows licensed insurance agents to electronically submit five different types of proof of insurance forms to the BMV that are required from their clients after an accident or traffic citation.

BMV Launches myBMV Virtual License Branch - April 2008

myBMV is an enhanced online service of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (“BMV”), designed to be a virtual license branch for customers to complete select BMV transactions never before offered online and obtain other helpful information from their homes, offices, or other convenient locations. Anyone can access detailed information and instructions they need about BMV services.

Social Security Online Verification (SSOLV) Project Update - February 2008

A critical responsibility of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is maintaining accurate, updated and secure personal records for millions of Hoosiers.  Identity credentials issued by the BMV are used for important purposes and all available means must be utilized to assure validity.

Statewide Food Drive - December 2007

Ron Stiver, Commissioner of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, announced on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, that Hoosiers contributed 27,000 non-perishable food items during the first statewide BMV Holiday Food Drive. The drive started on November 26 and concluded on December 8.
