BMV > What To Bring To A Branch > Request a Driver License Number Request a Driver License Number

Due to the Driver Privacy Protection Act the BMV is unable to furnish customers with a driver license number via email or over the telephone. If you need to know a past driver license number, or have lost your current driver license card and need to know your driver license number before you are able to obtain a duplicate card, you need to request the information by completing a "Request for Personal Information" form. You may fill in all the information you can furnish (i.e. name and date of birth) as well as send a check or money order for $4.00 to obtain the information you require. This will take approximately 8 to 10 business days.
