Hoosier motorists may choose from over 75 license plate designs when registering their vehicles, including the new 2008 standard license plate. Other new or redesigned license plates include the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial plate, the Special Olympics plate and the Indiana State Police plate.

During 2008, the BMV is offering a special $5 discount on every registration renewed online to encourage customers to use our Web site to renew their license plates. By creating a personal myBMV account, you can access the following services:

  • Renew vehicle registrations online and receive a $5 discount through 2008
  • Reserve or re-reserve a personalized plate
  • Order duplicate titles
  • Review the information in your personal record
  • Update your insurance information or mailing address
  • Sign up for email reminders for your driver license or registration expiration dates and other news

Accessing the services provided through your myBMV account is fast, secure and easy to use. To create your myBMV account you will be asked to provide your Indiana driver license number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Beginning in 2008, Hoosiers will be able to plate an antique vehicle with an antique license plate issued by the BMV in the year that their vehicle was manufactured.
